Our Story

Built by collectors, for collectors

Hi! I'm Marie, an interior designer based in Austin, Texas. I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pieces for my clients, and I know from exploring places like Round Top and Door County that there's no shortage of incredible finds out there. But the problem is, most small antique dealers don't have an online presence, making these treasures nearly impossible to discover from a distance.

Sites like 1stDibs and Chairish offer some options, but they're often priced out of reach, largely due to high platform commissions. I know those perfect pieces are out there, but I can't find them from my desk. There is such a huge opportunity to better connect buyers and sellers across the country, and so Rarely was born.

Luckily, my business partner Greg brings a sharp eye for strategy and a knack for solving problems creatively. His business experience and resourcefulness have been instrumental in shaping and growing this platform.

We believe in making online antiques selling more accessible not just to bring unique, meaningful objects to more people, but because it's a more sustainable way forward. And let's be honest, things were just made better back then.
